Amateur Radio Licences

Sections 9(2)(c), 23(2) and 82 of the Information and Communications Technology Act require that the Operator of an Amateur Radio station in the Cayman Islands must have a current valid licence at all times.

Caymanians

For new applications or renewals (which should be sent no later than 30 days prior to the licence expiry date) submit a completed Licence Application Form which can be found here along with the licence fee of US$25 (or CI$20) per year. Callsigns beginning ZF1, ZF8 and ZF9 will be issued to Caymanian Amateur Radio licensees dependent on the operating address of their main station (for Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac respectively).
